Julie was born in Buffalo, NY but grew up in Florence SC. She attended Clemson University for pre-pharmacy studies and then graduated from MUSC College of Pharmacy in 1987. She moved to Charlotte shortly after for a few years but then spent a year in New Zealand. When she returned to the States in 1993 she bought a farm house and some land in Midland where she currently still resides. She practiced pharmacy in a retail setting for 21 years before getting the opportunity to become the Pharmacy Manager at the Community Free Clinic in 2012. Her responsibilities include fulfilling all Pharmacy Manager legal and ethical responsibilities; providing license for pharmacy operations in which our volunteer pharmacists operate under; coordinates and evaluates pharmaceutical care; Fills prescriptions, dispenses and counsels patients; documents and updates pharmacy P&T, therapeutic substitutions and formulary; Trains and supervise volunteer pharmacy technicians as needed. When not at work Julie is a horse enthusiast and loves to spend time outside with hers. She also rescues dogs and provides a loving home to many until they can be adopted, (although she ends up keeping most of them).
