Hello! I am Nancy Litton. I joined the Community Free Clinic on Monday, January 16, 2017 as Deput Executive Director and took over as Executive Director on January 1, 2019 to help continue our good work – to provide a second set of eyes, ears and hands to the work of strengthening the safety net for medical assess, patient care, pharmaceutical services and specialty care referral for our Cabarrus County neighbors. I am here to – add to, support, give assistance, lend a hand, etc. to all of the executive/management tasks Marie keeps spinning day to day. I am also here to hear your interests for our clinic, to explore expansion, to look for improvement and search out dollars to grow our services for those we serve. And I am here to support you who provide those services – whether in the clinic, as a partner or as a contributor. Thank you for this exceptional opportunity to serve! A little about me as an individual. I have called Cabarrus County home since 1998 when I packed my U Haul and traveled over the mountains from TN/VA. I am a graduate of East Tennessee University.
I started my public health career with the State of TN in a single county health department. I have one grown daughter, a ‘monster dog’, Kya and a petit kitty Savannah. I live in Kannapolis where I love to work in the yard, swim, walk the dog and ‘stitch’ anything with any type of yarn or thread. I am a member of Afton Sunset Rotary, United Methodist Women and embarking on becoming a Deaconess through UMW. I would love to share a cup of coffee and learn from you about the essential needs of our patients, the strengths and challenges of meeting those needs and your vision for our Community Free Clinic.
